The first TwestofTO meet up is taking place on May 7th from 7 to 11pm at the Queen’s Head pub in Burlington, Ontario.

We thought we’d share a little bit of the history and ambiance of the Queen’s Head with you so you’d have an idea why we decided to host the TwestofTO meet up here.

The Queen’s Head in downtown Burlington may be displaying history on its mahogany wooden shelves, but this popular pub, lounge and banquet hall has everything you need to celebrate and enjoy the present and future.

In the 1840s, the Queen’s Head was known as the Queen’s Hotel. Owner Ed Catley has invested in his business to create a one-stop attraction for quality cuisine and the perfect gathering spot for all occasions.

The building resembles an historic British haven-a favorite place where friends and family gather for a joyous event or to wind down at the end of the day, appreciating the relaxed and diverse atmosphere and the delicious more-than- just-pub-grub menu.

Take advantage of the prime-rib special from Thursday through Sunday, or the prepared to perfection steaks, ribs, curries, gourmet pastas, traditional tasty fish and chips and the catches of the day. The quaint, inviting Empire Room boasts large windows that face Brant Street along with an intimate candle-lit bar.

Enjoy your choice from more than 30 worldly wines and an exciting menu prepared daily by creative Chefs.

Customers can expect the same delight in the Pub area and the Game’s room surrounded with windows. Tall wooden tables and cherry wood beams provide an ambiance perfect for unwinding, enjoying a great meal and laughing with friends, while enjoying the large 8 foot screen television, pool tables, dart boards and gold tee.

Let The Queen’s Head host your next event. Your guests can begin with a few drinks in the Empire Room or Pub, enjoy the fresh air on the spacious patio in the summer, then move to the Royal Hall Banquet Room. Sufficient parking surrounds the area. Be sure to use the entrances on the corner of Elgin and Brant Streets.
